Lcdo. Castellanos was invited to participate as a panelist during the second-ever Annual Conference on Implementation of Police Department Consent Decrees. This historic event was hosted on February 15th and 16th, 2018 by
School of Criminology, Criminal Justice and Strategic Studies in partnership with the Texas A&M University School of Law.
Mr. Castellnos participated as part of a panel “Overcoming Challenges During the Police Reform” moderated by the Honorable Gustavo Gelpi, Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto.
Members of the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, federal judges and monitors, and police chiefs from major cities exchanged ideas on best practices and lessons learned.
Thank you to all participants and attendees for making this a thought-provoking conference, that surely will have a lasting impact on a national scale.
